Setting up a youth hub, including starting and managing youth adult partnerships (yap)

It’s more than a buzz word. Empowering youth to become active decision-makers and leaders means a better world for all of us. This hands on workshop will get you out of your comfort zone and youth and adults prepared to work together to create a youth governed space that is managed using a youth adult partnership (YAP) approach.

Peer to Peer training on breaking down barriers to gender equity and improving girls participation

Youth (16-25 years old) learn how to deconstruct gender norms by examining power relations; talk about gender equality and equity, sex and gender; and learn how to ask difficult questions and challenge their own beliefs and understandings.

Youth consultation training

Our recent four-day workshop with a Youth - Led Group from diverse backgrounds was an uplifting experience filled with valuable lessons, teamwork, and a focus on enhancing our communication powers! We kicked off the workshop by delving into the art of effective communication, establishing a strong foundation for engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and an overall positive atmosphere.

The Youth Team, alongside our dedicated members, infused each session with infectious enthusiasm, transforming it into a hub of ideas and innovation. However, our training went beyond communication skills alone.

Together, we fine-tuned their mission, vision, and values, conducted a comprehensive Strengths, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats (SWOT) analysis on youth empowerment, evaluated program impact, and fostered a team culture that bolsters our commitment to empowering young individuals for long-lasting positive outcomes.

One of the workshop's that we designed was about developing basic research skills. Teams passionately delved into the root causes of the global refugee crisis, honing their presentation skills through research, PowerPoint creation, and visual canvases.

We had an absolutely incredible consultation-based learning experience! It was truly remarkable and left them inspired. If you're interested in learning more about these workshops, we would be more than happy to offer them to other community and youth-led groups. Feel free to contact us at psu.champion@gmail.com for further information. We can't wait to share this enriching opportunity with others!
